Dog License Public Record Disclaimer

The fee for dogs not spayed or neutered is $24.00. The spayed/neutered dog license fee is $20.00. Please read exclusions to the unaltered fee. If you need a veterinarian's certification, you must apply for a license by mail or in person.

3-Year and Permanent tags will be sold in person at the Auditor's Office or by mail only. Please call (937) 225-4314 for an application.

Any and all information provided to obtain a license is public record and made available under the Ohio Public Records Law. By accepting these terms and conditions, you understand that information utilized by the Montgomery County Auditor to issue a license is subject to public disclosure. These terms and conditions do not apply to any information related to payment or credit card transactions. Montgomery County does not retain credit card, e-check, or debit/ATM card information.

Please note:  If you decide to pay online for your dog license(s), you will be charged a fee of 2.3% for credit cards as well as ATM and debit cards (with a minimum fee of $2.00) or a flat fee of $0.50 for e-check transactions. No part of the fee goes to Montgomery County. Therefore, no part of the fee is refundable. Funds should be immediately available for payment from your account.
